3. Hosting

This website is hosted by Railway. The application is operated on servers located within the European Union, currently in the Netherlands.

During hosting, personal data necessary for the operation and provision of the website (e.g. IP addresses and technical log data) is processed.

The processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure and efficient operation of the website).

4. Registration and Use of the App

Registration is required to use Pricewatcha.

As part of registration and usage, we process in particular the following personal data:

• Email address
• Product URLs added by you
• Price-related usage data (e.g. price history and alerts)

This data is processed solely for the purpose of providing the Pricewatcha service.

The processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract).

5. Database and Authentication

We use Supabase for authentication and data storage.

Supabase processes email addresses and application-related data required to operate Pricewatcha.

6. Email Delivery

We use Resend to send system-related emails (such as verification emails, price alerts, and service notifications).

Your email address is processed solely for the purpose of sending these emails.

7. Third-Country Transfers

It cannot be ruled out that personal data processed by our service providers may also be transferred to third countries.

In such cases, data transfers are carried out based on appropriate safeguards in accordance with Art. 46 GDPR, including contractual safeguards or recognized data protection standards.

8. Web Analytics

Pricewatcha uses the self-hosted web analytics service Umami to collect anonymized usage statistics and improve the stability and usability of the application.

• No cookies are used
• No user profiles are created
• No personal data is stored
• No data is used for advertising or marketing purposes

IP addresses are not stored or are processed in a fully anonymized form.

Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in anonymous usage analysis).

9. Data Retention

Personal data is stored only for as long as necessary to fulfill the respective purposes or as required by statutory retention obligations.

Once the purpose no longer applies or a user account is deleted, the corresponding data will be deleted unless legal retention requirements apply.

You have the right at any time to:

When a user account is deleted, authentication data and all personal data associated with the user account are removed. Product and price data may remain stored but are no longer associated with any identifiable user.
