What is Price Tracker?
Price Tracker is a service that monitors product prices from various platforms including Backmarket, Rebuy, Refurbed, Swappie, and eBay. You can track prices over time and receive email notifications when prices reach your specified thresholds.
Which platforms are supported?
We currently support:
- Backmarket.de
- Rebuy.de
- Refurbed.de
- Swappie.com
- eBay.de / eBay.com
- Generic platforms (with automatic detection)
How do I add a product to track?
Simply paste the product URL into the "Add New Product" form on the dashboard. The system will automatically detect the platform (Backmarket, Rebuy, Refurbed, Swappie, or eBay) from the URL and start tracking the price. For eBay, you can also use the "eBay product search" option to track the best price from search results instead of a specific listing.
Price Alerts
How do price alerts work?
You can set minimum and maximum price thresholds for any tracked product. When the current price falls below the minimum threshold or exceeds the maximum threshold, you'll receive an email notification.
Can I set alerts for multiple products at once?
Yes! Select multiple products using the checkboxes, enter your desired price thresholds, and click "Set price alert" to apply alerts to all selected products.
How often are prices checked?
Prices are automatically checked every 6 hours. You can also manually trigger an update for any product by clicking the "Update" button.
Account & Data
Do I need an account to use Price Tracker?
Yes, you need to create a free account to track products and receive price alerts. Registration is quick and only requires an email address.
How do I delete my account?
You can delete your account at any time. While you are logged in, open this page and click the following link: Delete my account. This will permanently remove your account and all products you are tracking. This action cannot be undone.
Is my data secure?
We take data security seriously. All authentication is handled securely through Supabase, and we only store the product URLs and price history you choose to track.
Technical Questions
Why is a product showing "Fetching price data..."?
When you first add a product, the system needs to fetch the price from the platform. This usually takes 1-2 minutes. If it takes longer, you can manually trigger an update.
Can I track eBay search results instead of a specific listing?
Yes! When adding a product, check the "eBay product search" checkbox and enter your search query (e.g., "iPhone 15 Pro refurbished"). The system will automatically track the lowest price from eBay search results for that query. You can leave the URL field empty when using this option. The platform is automatically detected from the URL for all other platforms, so you don't need to manually select it.
What if a product URL becomes unavailable?
If a product is no longer available on the platform, the system will return an error. You can manually delete the product from your tracking list.
